Check It Out!
Open Alpha USC, Spring 2022
This cashier-simulator game was Open Alpha's first take on a 2.5D game. Although we were a bit worried about how it would turn out, the finished product was a success! Check It Out blew up on social media as a top-rated Free to Play game, giving us a massive influx of downloads.
For this particular game, I was granted the role of Game Design Co-Lead. Together, my co-lead and I directed bi-weekly design meetings to solidify all technical/narrative aspects of the game (spreadsheets, mechanics, layout, story, etc.). I also wrote a significant amount of dialogue for "Chad" in particular, 3D modeled the Teddy Bear item, and created the majority of the game's buttons.

Mind-map featuring all of the characters' interpersonal relationships, which the design team worked to formulate during one of our meetings.
